BANAUE, Ifugao – The chief of police of this tourist town is set to be relieved from his post upon order of regional police director Chief Supt. Benjamin B. Magalong for being “irresponsible and grossly inefficient.”

The impending relief is to be effected after consultation with the mayor of Banaue and Gov. Eugene Balitang including the national Police Commission provincial chief and without prejudice to the right of the concerned officer to administrative due process.

This, after senior police officers conducted a surprise inspection at the said station and found among others that the station was extremely dirty, grossly unkempt and the personnel were not in presentable uniform.

Magalong said this shall serve as warning to all officers to be always circumspect in their action and ensure their stations and personnel are are in good condition.
