Welder arrested for selling shabu to cops

BAGUIO CITY – Narcotics agents arrested a welder at Barangay Irisan here Monday for selling to the lawmen P4,000 worth of shabu.

Jimmy T. Bumakil, 47, reportedly sold two sachets of shabu to an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Cordillera Administrative Region who acted as buyer in the buy-bust operation at Apugan, Purok 12, Irisan.

The seized shabu, which weighed .40 grams, was placed in plastic sachets.

Bumakil, of Itogon, Benguet, was a resident of Purok 9, Irisan.

Bumakil was one of the “public enemies” of Irisan, barangay officials said.

The suspect reportedly distributed shabu to thieves. The illegal drug reportedly came from Dagupan City in Pangasinan.

A criminal case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed in court against Bumakil.
