Cosalan shootfest raisesP700,000 for churches

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – At least P700 thousand for the repair of two churches in the province was raised in the 1st Cong. Ronald M. Cosalanshootfest-for-a-cause held at Shilan Shooting Range here.
Cosalan who fully supported the fun-shoot said, of the amount raised, at least P500,000 will go to the repair of the Acop church in Tublay and the remaining P200,000 will be go to the repair of the Pasdong Church in Atok town.
Cordillera police regional director Chief Supt. Benjamin B. Magalong was adjudged the best shooter in the Lawman Category while Supt. Dante Lubos placed first runner-up
Magalong, a decorated police officer who once headed the elite PNP Special Weapons and Tactics also placed 3rd runner-up in the Standard Aggregates that was topped by champion Wilbur Fernando.
The other winners in the Standard Aggregates were: 1st runner-up MacoyLomerez; Mar Campos, 2nd runner-up; Dante Lubos, 4th runner-up and Raymond Ignas, 5th runner-up.
The champion in the Lawman Categorey was Norman Coronia while LampuyasLaruan and ManolitoCastelar placed 1st and 2nd runner-ups, respectively.
Lady shooters Jeanette Campos and JaquilineGahid were champions in the Lady Standard and Lady Production, respectively while ShennaPaleng and Eva Omaybas were first runner-ups in that order.
Sherwin Gomez grabbed the championship trophy in the Production Aggregates while RogelBilibli was 1st runner-up; with Gilbert Atioan, Mar Campos, Charles Molina and Lambert Suerte placing 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th runner-ups.
Seasoned shooter Melvin Calde was the champion in the Classic Category with Angel Lumpias Jr. as his closest rival while Bernie Casusi, Anthony Limpin, Don Malatag and Max Takinan trailed them in that order.
Frank Lopez and Ramon Atolba were champion and 1st runner-up in the open category while Joy Basquial was the champion in the Open Lady Category.
Mark Samuel Lubos won in the Junior Category.
Harry Awingan was champion in revolver with Roy Dawa as 1st runner-up while Luis Galipen and John Cadag were champions in the Senior Standard and Senior Production, respectively.
The Top Shilan Shooters Inc. Standard winners were Charlie Leano and Jason Aliado while CedrickAmbros and Byron Pinas were the production winners. Saturnino and Ashley Moreno were champion and 1st runner-up in the Classics.
Rodel Lawana is champion in the Tyro while he was trailed in score by Johnson Miguel and Jun Drio, who were 1st and 2nd runner-ups while Dante Lubos was champion in the "man vs. man" event of the competition.
Philippine Information Agency shooter Joseph Zambrano was much better than DzEQ shooter Robert Tabay as champion in the media standard.
The successful event has drawn some 110 participants who enjoyed the three-day competition while being part of a humanitarian project.
