Ilocos Norte town mayor suspended

ADAMS, Ilocos Sur -- The Ilocos Norte provincial board has suspended Mayor Eric Baoingan of his ttown for three months for his failure to quickly approve the clearance for the terminal leave pay of slain Adams municipal treasurer ElpidioSy.

           

Baoingan said he would no longer appeal his suspension. Vice Mayor Wagner Poking took over as acting mayor.
