Dev’t of disputed Asin hot spring resort pushed

BAGUIO
CITY – Mayor Mauricio Domogan has ordered a feasibility study on the
development of the disputed Asin Hotspring Resort to turn it into an
income-generating asset.
The
mayor formed a project study team to be headed by city budget officer and local
economic and investment officer Leticia Clemente to spearhead the analysis to
determine the resort’s economic and social viability.
The
team is composed of city building official Oscar Flores, city assessor Augustus
Medina, city administrator Carlos Canilao, city legal officer Melchor Carlos
Rabanes, city treasurer Thelma Manaois, city engineer Leo Bernardez and city
planning and development officer Evelyn Cayat.
The
team will be tasked to prepare development proposals and related plans for the
development of the property, conduct site inspection and technical assessment
of the property, prepare engineering designs, architectural plans, project
estimates and others to pinpoint areas for development.
The
team is also expected to come up with analysis on the market, technical
financial, economic and operational aspects and formulate recommendations for
the holistic development and operation of the existing facilities within the
property.
The
mayor gave the group 90 days to submit the output.
