Ifugao cop wins regional search for PNP model family

LISTA ,Ifugao -- The provincial government recently honored a law enforcer and his family from this municipality for
winning the search for the Philippine
National Police model family in the
region.

Robert D. Almeda received the certificate of commendation from Gov. Eugene
Balitang in a simple ceremony witnessed by provincial and national line agency
employees,
Almeda,
52,and a father of two, was adjudged as head of the PNP model family in the
Cordillera Administrative Region for 2012.
He
is set to represent the region in the national search for PNP model family.
According
to Department of Interior and Local Government provincial director Rose
Domelod, Almeda received the regional
award from the Regional Peace and Order Council in Benguet province.
Aside
from the plaque of appreciation, P15,000 was also given to Almeda as cash for
winning the contest.
Almeda
said community involvement was the key to
his winning the said contest.
He
said his family actively participated in
activities or social work of the community.
The
Search for PNP Model Families is a project undertaken by the National Police
Commission in collaboration with the DILG, Philippine National Police and other member-agencies/organizations of
the National Crime Prevention Week Interagency Technical Working Committee.
First
launched Sept. 1, 2009 the search was implemented in 2011.
According
to Napolcom vice chairman and executive officer Eduardo U. Escueta, this will
put value on the moral aspect of the PNP Integrated Transformation Program.
