Comelec resumes voters registration until Oct 31

TABUK CITY, Kalinga -- The Commission on Election has resumed registration of voters on August 1 to end Oct. 31even as special registration day for persons with disabilities (PWD) was held yesterday.

OIC provincial election supervisor Rogelio Bagtang said the PWD voter registration day aimed to provide an accessible registration area for PWDs to update their records.

     

He said Comelec Commissioner Rene Sarmiento directed election officers to provide venue for the said registration day for PWDs in coordination with PWD organizations and non-government organizations.

In Kalinga, Bagtang said  nine barangays were identified namely,  Gawa-an in Balbalan, Mabilong in Lubuagan, Guina-ang in Pasil, Mapaco in Pinukpuk, Babalag in Rizal, Babbanoy in Tanudan, Tulgao East and Tulgao West in Tinglayan, and Dagupan Centro of this city.

He said other voters can also join to register or update their records.
