Cops destroy P1 M marijuana in Ifugao

TINOC, Ifugao – Police recently uprooted and destroyed more than P1 million worth of marijuana plants in three plantation sites here at SitioBatu, Barangay Tulludan.

           

A total of 6,600 fully grown marijuana plants and 400 seedlings were destroyed.

           

No marijuana planter was arrested during the raid in this town which had been known for its marijuana plantations in recent years. 

           

Raiding teams included police from the provincial office and Hungduan town.

           

Some residents said famers have turned to cultivating marijuana due to its high yields and it didn’t take much to tend to these as compared to vegetables which have high farm inputs.
