DPWH finishes P6.69B Central Luzon Projects

SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga — Various infrastructure projects
amounting to P6.69 billion have been completed by the Department of Public
Works and Highways in Central Luzon in the first half of this year, DPWH Region
3 Information Adora Sunga reported last week.
The finished works translate to 8,061.698 kilometers of road
networks, and bridges with a net length of 1,786.265 lineal meters amounting to
a total of P5.19 billion,” said Sunga of the road construction and improvement
of 748 road works.
“We were also able to build 230 flood control projects, 310
classrooms for public elementary and secondary schools and state colleges and
universities, 19 rainwater collector systems which is in support to the Aquino
administration’s climate change adaptation program as it could aid farmers
during the dry season, and 356 other infrastructures including hospitals, markets,
slaughterhouses, and multi-purpose halls,” she said. -- FGR
