Ex-cop busted for sale of shabu

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union– A former member of the National Police Regional Anti Ilegal Drugs Task Force together with his companion was arrested at the onslaught of torrential rains Wednesday by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 anti-narcotics agents.

The buy-bust operation in Barangay San Francisco, resulted to the arrest of CeferinoCarino Jr., also known as “Kabog.”

The 41 year old former cop was dismissed in the service for an AWOL case.

Also nabbed was Joseph Dangalan, 35 who was caught red handed while repacking a plastic sachet of shabu.

Four plastic sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride known as shabu were recovered from the suspects including the cellular phone used in the illegal drug transaction, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy bust money.

Suspects are now facing charges for illegal drugs.
