Kalinga police nab two robbers in highway heist

TABUK CITY,
Kalinga -- The quick response of city police here under Supt. Reynaldo Pasiwen
led to the arrest of two of six suspects allegedly involved in a robbery that
transpired along the national toad in SitioIleb, here about 6:30 a.m. of July 31.
Arrested were Wonnie B.
Sangangaot, 20, of Barangay Liwan West here and Abraham L. Macad,
35, of Sitio Malapiat, San Pascual, Rizal.
Three motorcycles believed used by the
suspects in their illegal activities were impounded while some of the personal
belongings of passengers were recovered from the arrested suspects.
Manhunt operations against the four other
suspects are still on.
Investigation disclosed the six masked and
armed suspects earlier blocked the road with logs and stopped a white
passenger van with Plate No. BVS-483 owned by David Lugto and driven by Manuel B. Belgica of Laya East,
Tabuk.
A local police report to regional police
director Benjamin Magalong said the passengers were ordered to get out from the
vehicle while suspects divested them at gun point of personal belongings
including the driver’s earnings amounting to P 800.
The victims were identified with the
corresponding items taken.
Taken from Lina Baculi y Esteban, 47,
businesswoman of Caritan, Tuguegarao City were cash amounting to P 4,000 and
Nokia cell phone worth P 5,0000.
The suspects also took from Celia Bancud
y Narag, 48, married, businesswoman of Tuguegarao City, P 4,000, a passbook and
pertinent documents;
Also victimized were Marvin Uy y Buenaobra,
37, married, with his wife Catherine Uy y Gonzales, 24,a Cebuana Lhuillier
employee both of Tuguegarao City. Taken from the couple were P18,000,
clothes and other belonging.
Meanwhile, Guilbert Nacino y Vergara,
37, construction worker of
MalligIsabela, was divested of a Nokia cellphone worth P3,000 and P2,000 cash.
Confiscated from Private First Class
Christian Tagleago y Baddong, 22, Army
member of Ilagan, Isabela were a shoulder bag containing clothes, wallet
containing pay slip, and pertinent documents.
PFC AgatonTaguna y Peralta, 32, Army member
of Tuguegarao City was also victimized with a Samsung cell phone worth P10,000
and Nokia cellphone worth P2,000 cash worth P2,000, a sweat shirt and other
pertinent documents taken from him.

Good job on the part of Supt Pasiwen,That's how to handle a case,arrest the accused,gather evidences/witnesses and let the court prosecute the accused.You don't need a battalion of an Army to help you and when you secured a A.S.S.O.or search warrant make sure you have some positive info,don't just rely on hersay.Look what happened in Bulanao raid led by Magalong,8 out 11`houses
