Miner dead in Ifugao landslide due to storm

HINGYON, Ifugao - A 15-year-old miner was killed in a landslide here at the height of typhoon "Gener."

The fatality was identified as Clinton Pablo. His companion, John Paul Pablo, was hurt.

A radio report said the two victims were on board a motorcycle and were traveling from Itogon, Benguet to Baguio when they were hit by the landslide.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council was informed of the incident and has reportedly included Pablo in its official list of fatalities from "Gener."

The agency has counted seven deaths since the typhoon started its onslaught in Luzon and parts of Visayas and Mindanao last week.
