Three drug pushers nabbed in Benguet

Three drug pushers were recently arrested after a separate buy-bust operations were conducted by lawmen in the region.

The combined personnel of Buguias Municipal Police Station, Provincial Public Safety Company and Benguet Provincial AntiI-Drug Special Operations Task Group arrested two farmers identified as Mr. Terson Martin y Tindaan, 27 years old, married and a resident of SitioBekes, Brgy Buyacaoan, Buguias Benguet and Mr. Baldwin Aquino y Bawat, 30 years old, single and a resident of Lutheran, Brgy Abatan, Buguias, Benguet.

Both suspects were nabbed along Turo-Turo Alley fronting Martes Eatery, Yap Building, Abatan, Buguias, Benguet as they handed over a sachet of shabu to undercover agent at about 8:20 PM of September 29, 2012.

Confiscated from the suspects were six transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride “shabu” and 1, 000.00 peso bill used as buy bust money. Both suspects are now detained at Buguias MPS for proper disposition.

Another drug pusher was arrested at the vicinity of Baguio Convention Center after a buy-bust operation was conducted by the joint personnel of Special Operations Unit-Regional Anti-Illegal Special Operations Task Group and the members of the Baguio City Police Office.

The suspect identified as Mr. Erickson Reyes y Cambay, 35 years old, single and a resident of Twin Peaks, Tuba, Benguet. He was arrested at around 4:00 PM of September 29, 2012 and confiscated from his direct possession were one heat sealed sachet of a suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride/Shabu weighing 0.5 gram with a Dangerous Drug Board  value of Php 3, 000.00, one cellular phone and 1,000.00 peso bill used as buy bust money. He is now detained at Baguio City Jail.

The three arrested suspects are now facing charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
