Wage increase set for C. Luzon employees

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in
Central Luzon has ordered the integration of the P24 cost of living allowance
(COLA) into the minimum wage of workers in the region, on top of another
increase of P6 to P6.50 in their daily pay.
DOLE
regional director Raymundo Agravante said while the integration of the P24 COLA
would cover all minimum wage earners, the P6 increase would apply only to
workers of establishments with total assets of overP30 million.
Those
working for smaller establishments would get a higher P6.50 basic wage
increase.
