9 wanted persons nabbed in Cordi PNP operations

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police recently arrested nine wanted persons in the Cordillera after warrants for their arrest were issued by courts.    

Arrested were Joel D. Malucayalyas“ Ngautey” for rape, Ranie C. Batang for murder, Gil Alamong for frustrated murder, and Alfonso T. Lumauig Jr for violation of Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act.

Joel Malucay, 28, of  Buguias, Benguet, a resident of Botiwtiw, Km 3, La Trinidad town was arrested by elements of Benguet Provincial Public Safety Company and Provincial Intelligence Branch of Benguet Police Provincial Office on Oct. 27, at 7 a.m. along Bokawkan Road, Baguio City.

His arrest warrant was issued by Agapito K Laoagan Jr., presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 64 at Abatan, Buguias, Benguet.

 Ranie Caballes Batang, 24, of Gassud, Karikitan, Conner, Apayao  was nabbed Oct. 29 by Conner police and1607th Apayao PPSC under supervision of Apayao police director Senior Supt. Alberlito Salvador Garcia in coordination with the Manila Police District  at Angel Licao Street, Paco, Ermita, Manila.

A warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Quirino M. Andaya of RTC Branch 26 in Luna, Apayao with no bail bond recommended.

Gil Alamong, 35, of Barangay Talifugo, Conner was arrested by Conner police after a warrant for his arrest was also issued by Andaya.

He was nabbed at Talifugo, Conner. 

In Buguias, Benguet , chief of police Chief Insp. Damian D. Olsim arrested Oct. 28 Alfonso Telio Lumauig, Jr, 30 of Tulludan, Tinoc, Ifugao for violation of RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004).

His arrest was warrant was also issued by Judge Laoagan who recommended bail bond of P120, 000.  

Meanwhile, five wanted persons namely Ramon Lopa Sumalin , Randy Casanova Lardizabal, Lorenzo Acena Bermudez, Victor Bugtong Martin and Jane Patacsil Moltio were arrested for frustrated parricide, violation of RA 9262, attempted murder, violation of Batas Pampansa  22 or the Anti-Bouncing Checks Law, and estafa respectively.

 Personnel of Paracelis, Mountain Province also arrested Ramon Sumalin, 88 of Doli Bunot, Paracelis, Oct. 27, for frustrated parricide.

The following day, police nabbed Lardizabal, 33 of  Tapaw, Palitud, Paracelis, Mountain Province for violation of RA 9262.

Both suspects were arrested at Dagawe, Poblacion, Paracelis after Judge Sergio T Angnganay, presiding judge of RTC, First Judicial Region, Branch 36, Bontoc, Mt. Province issued warrants for their arrest.

In Abra, joint members of the 1^st Company of the Regional Public Safety Battalion and Abra PPSC arrested Lorenzo Bermudez, of Macarcarmay, Bangued, Abra on Oct. 29.

Bermudez was nabbed in his residence after Judge CorpuzAlzate, of RTC Branch 2 in Bangued issued a warrant for his arrest.
