Abra NPA cadre surrenders to cops

LACUB, Abra -- A 27- year old New People’s Army member surrendered last week to combined elements of the Abra Provincial Intelligence Branch, Lacub police, Provincial Public Safety Company , Regional Public Safety Batalion and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU-14) here  in Barangay Balawang.

He was identified as Sherwin Reyes Manuel, alias Bibit, a member of the Kilusang Larangan Guerilla North and listed number 4 in the police order of battle as Sherwin De Vera, native of barangays Poblacion, Lacub,

A special commendation was given by regional police director Chief Supt. Benjamin B. Magalong to members of the Regional Special Operation Task Group led by the task group commander and deputy regional director for administration Chief Supt. Roberto Q. Soriano for their effort that led to the arrest of an NPA member.
