2 killed in Balaoan town road accident

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union -- Two people were killed while four others injured in a road accident involving three vehicles in Barangay Camilo Osias, Balaoan, La Union last week.

Police identified the fatalities as a certain Cornelio Dalao, 52, of Barangay Bulala, Balaoan town and one Gerald Dimaangan, 17, of  Barangay Rimos 2, Luna, La Union.

Traffic probers said Dalao was reportedly driving his motorcycle along the provincial road when he was sideswiped by a truck, causing his motorbike to crash into a parked tricycle where Dimaangan was on.

The driver of the truck was detained by police.
