Dagupan City school burned; classes stop

DAGUPAN CITY -- Hundreds of students were sent home Monday when they arrived at the West Central Elementary School, here, to find that it had been razed by fire.

A total of seven classrooms were totally gutted and six more were significantly damaged by the hour-long fire that broke out at 1:45 a.m.

Senior Insp. Ferdinand Formacion, Dagupan Fire Marshall, said arson investigators were still assessing the evidence at the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
