26 arrested for jueteng in Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur

CAMP FLORENDO, La Union — The Police Regional Office 1 reported the arrest of 26 suspects in two separate anti-illegal gambling operations conducted in the provinces of Pangasinan and Ilocos Sur, recently.

Chief Supt. Ricardo C. Marquez, Ilocos regional polid director said 24 alleged “jueteng” personnel were arrested in Barangay Paras, Candon City, Ilocos Sur last Sept. 5 while suspected jueteng financier Ricardo Ferrer, alias “Katdong,” 51; and his “cabo” Edzel F. Tantay, 30, were nabbed on Padilla Street in Poblacion, Lingayen, Pangasinan on the strength of a warrant issued by the court.
