Depressed OFW commits suicide

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union — A former overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who had been weighed down by depression was found hanging by the neck from a mango tree at his residential compound in Barangay Lomboy, Santo Tomas, this province Oct. 10.

Police said Ferdinand Cacas, 47 committed suicide as probers found no sign of foul play.

Relatives said Cacas began to have fits of depression when a foot injury derailed his career abroad.
