N. Vizcaya village exec slain at home

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya – A village councilor was shot dead in front of his wife inside their house in Villaverde town here night of June 7. 

Anader Pundinlan, 39, of Barangay Ocapon, and his wife Luz, were resting when the assailant barged in and shot him at around 7 p.m. said Chief Insp. Jeofrey Bullong, town police chief.

Luz told probers the gunman was wearing a bonnet.

Investigators said the victim’s son, who was at his grandparents’ house nearby, said he heard several gunshots and saw several bonnet-wearing men fleeing from the scene.

Village councilor Boy Tayaban said minutes after the gunshots, he saw two bonnet-wearing men on a motorcycle.

Probers recovered two slugs and a deformed bullet for a 9mm pistol and two shotgun pellets from the crime scene.
