LAGAWE, Ifugao, -- Two people were killed
while two others were injured in a freak vehicular accident along
the national road here at Poblacion East, night of June 5 even as the

spot were Jose GuidayanAdhayon, 40, a resident of Poblacion, Hingyon, Ifugao
and FelimonPotang of Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya.

driven by Adhayon and an XRM Honda motorcycle driven by Dulnuan.
As a result, Adhayon
and his back rider Potang sustained multiple serious injuries resulting
to their instant death while Dulnuan suffered injuries on his left

Meanwhile, according
to Department of Interior and Local Government provincial director
Rosario Dumelod, copies of the resolution were already forwarded to DPWH
offices for action.
Brigadier General
Roger Salvador, commanding officer of the 501st Brigade, 51D of the Philippine
Army,said travelling is risky with
ongoing road construction especially when visibility is poor.
He added that
if there are road signs, they are placed at spots which are being
constructed with no advance warning installed to warn motorists.
Banaue Mayor Jerry
Dalipog suggested that “cat’s eyes”
should be placed along the national road coming from Lagawe to Banaue because
it is difficult to travel between these places especially in the evening when
it is foggy.
District Engineer
Albert Gahid of DPWH District Engineering Office 2 DPWH will try its best to
address concerns.
He sought the help of
the PPOC in requesting assistance from the Road Board for funds
