Cordillera gov’t workers cited in CSC top awards

EDITORIAL

Two Cordillerans and a government office have been recognized by the Civil Service Commission-Cordillera Administrative Region this year for excellence in public service. 

Among those recognized during awarding ceremonies in Sagada, Mountain Province Sept. 25 were Dangal ng Bayan awardee Roldan Colas of the Department of Public Works and Highways, Mt. Province District Engineering Office and City Agriculture Office of Tabuk, Kalinga for the CSC Pagasa Award.

Presidential Lingkod Bayan semi-finalist Ramon Dacawi, chief of City Government of Baguio’s information office was also proclaimed regional champion and automatically would be pitted against the country’s semi-finalists; Philippine Air Force (PAF) 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing Commander Rolando M. Aquino; Pag-IBIG president and chief executive officer Darlene Marie B. Berberabe; Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim S. Jacinto-Henares; Commonwealth Elementary School Principal IV Rodolfo B. Modelo; PAF 205thTactical Helicopter Wing Aircraft Mechanic II Elton Monet B. Merelos; University of the Philippines (UP) President Alfredo E. Pascual; Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Regional Office No. 6 Jail Chief Inspector Gilbert D. Peremne; Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Regional Office No. 10 Senior Science Research Specialist Romela N. Ratilla; National Fisheries Research and Development Institute Supervising Agriculturist/Scientist I Mudjekeewis D.

Santos; Visayas State University Professor Edgardo E. Tulin; Davao City Central Communication and Emergency Response Center Team, and Commission on Audit (COA) Special Audit Team for Office of the Regional Governor–Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao.

The Presidential Lingkod Bayan award is conferred on an individual or group of individuals for extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or performance, which has nationwide impact on public interest, security and patrimony.


The winner will receive a cash prize of P200,000, a gold-gilded medallion, and a plaque containing the citation and signature of the President of the Philippines. Congratulations to the awardees!
