Korean nabbed for drug pushing in LU

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, La Union – A young Korean  national was caught selling illegal drugs in a buy bust entrapment operation Monday afternoon in a village here.

Supt. Julius C. Suriben, chief of police, reported after a tip from an informant in the barangay where the suspect resides, the Korean was nabbed by cops.

In a report to Mayor Pablo C Ortega, Suriben said San Fernando cops led by Insp. JuanitoBuaron conducted buy bust operation at aboutt 4:05 p.m. Monday at Pagudpud, in the arrest of Sangsu Kim,  21, single. Seized from his possession were two packs of dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops wrapped in a plastic bag and paper,  cellphone and P1,000 used in the buy bust.

Kim and the seized items were brought at Region I Crime Laboratory for drugs test even as charges for illegal drugs were prepared against him, said Suriben.

A total of 88 drug personalities have been arrested by city police recently.
