Happy Hallow Elementary School extends gratitude to stakeholders

BAGUIO CITY-- Happy Hollow Elementary School is grateful to all its stakeholders who extended support to the school and who came to share their blessings to school children.

These were Tiong San Supermarket, Harrison Branch; Center Mall and N4th Enterprises who willingly sponsored the school’s Feeding Program of 30 pupils that will end on March next year.

On Nov. 8, engineer Manolito O. Acosta, president of  Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE), Baguio-Benguet Chapter fixed and replaced the school’s electrical wiring. 

They replaced bulbs in all rooms, checked and realigned all electrical wirings in support of DepEd’s “Adopt a School Program”. 

Last Nov. 28, ABS-CBN Baguio, another stakeholder, held its early gift giving activity to 112 pupils from Kindergarten to Grade VI. It was coordinated by Cherie Ann Manangan, ABS-CBN Baguio’s public service organizer. 

Before the gift-giving, pupils and parents participated in a short program where they were entertained by the newscasters’ team headed by Dobie De Guzman and some MOR radio announcers.  The selected pupils were happy to receive their early Christmas gift from the local ABS-CBN station. 

Luke Foundation, Inc., a non-sectarian, non-profit organization conducted free ear and eye screening tests to 217 pupils of HHES where pupils with “error of refraction (EOR)” would be given free eye glasses. 

It was found out from the NGO’s screening tests that at least three pupils, one from Grade I and two from the Grade II class will be the beneficiaries of free eye glasses. Last Dec. 9, Luke Foundation came back to conduct ear flushing on pupils with ear diseases.(Ellen Grande teaches at Happy Hallow Elementary School in Baguio City)
