TADIAN,
Mountain Province – This town’s Ayyoweng di Lambak Ed Tadian festival was held
here last week with the building of “binangi (traditional house)” by
representatives from the 19 barangays.
Speaking
at the launching of the 7th Ayyoweng di Lambak Ed Tadian with background
of the construction of the ‘binangi’, Tadian Mayor Anthony Wooden cited
participative oneness of the community in building the traditional house.
Malolos Bulacan
Mayor Christian Natividad known for exemplifying cultural governance, was guest
speaker during said event which awed him.
With
theme,”ayyoweng ya lambak di i-Tadian, mangiwaned si sumikaan”, the festival
portrayed intertwined “melodies of culture” in the building of the “binangi”-
an organic way of life that guides the community to development.
A
major activity of the festival was the holding of the Sokob di Ayyoweng
with the community enjoying lunch together, apart from the conduct of
indigenous and indigenized games participated by delegates from the 19
barangays of the town and the agro-industrial fair.
Asked

conference here, Wooden said the community will be the one to determine what is
good for them.
Real
estate developer and businessman lawyer Alexander Bangsoy who hails from Tadian
was guest of honor for this year’s festival celebration.
