Miss Agoo crowned ‘Mutiati La Union’ for 4th straight year

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — A freelance
model, 21-year-old Alessandra Casimiro from Agoo town was crowned “Mutiati La
Union” at Tuesday night’s pageant, here, in celebration of the province’s
165th foundation anniversary.
Casimiro, a
B.S. Arts major in Psychology and former “Sangguniang Kabataan” chairwoman in
her native place San Jose City, Nueva Ecija before moving to Barangay Nazareno
in Agoo, bested 19 other contestants for the crown.
Showbiz
personalities Tom Rodriguez and Iya Vilania hosted the pageant.
Others who
shone bright on pageant night were “Mutia ti Turismo” – Angelica U. Maranan of
Sto. Tomas; “Mutia ti Kalikasan” – Cassandra Ralbovsky of San Fernando City;
First Runner-up – Anne Sanglay of San Juan; and Second Runner-up – Kyle
Federico of Bauang.
Casimiro
also got the Ms. Body and Skin Beautiful awards while Sanglay took Ms.
Photogenic and Federico for Best Evening Gown awards.
Agoo Mayor
Sandra Eriguel was elated with Casimiro’s coronation because it’s the fourth
year in a row that Agoo candidate bagged the “Mutia Ti La Union.”
Gov. Manuel
C. Ortega and Mayor Pablo Ortega welcomed the guests and celebrities who
include ABS-CBN and GMA7 talents Angeline Quinto and Gerald Santos.
