Bolinao ex-village chief shot dead

BOLINAO, Pangasinan – A former barangay captain was gunned down in  Barangay Luciente here Monday night, police said. 

Aparicio Ramirez Jr., 56, a resident of Barangay Patar, suffered gunshot wounds in the head and neck and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bolinao Community Hospital. 

Police said the victim was having a drinking spree with his helper in his grocery store when an unidentified gunman shot him several times. The killer also took P10,000 from the cash drawer.

 The assailant fled on a motorcycle driven by his cohort who waited outside the grocery.
