3 kids drown in La Union

BACNOTAN, La Union – Three boys drowned when they went swimming off  Barangay Baroro here afternoon of Aug 6.

Siblings Russel, 6, and Clifford Nasol, 4, and their cousin Jake Gañola, 5, were swept away by big waves, Senior Inspector Fredilex Marron, Bacnotan police chief, said yesterday.

Marron said residents led by barangay chairman Gaudencio Cuyo brought the victims to the Bacnotan District Hospital, where they were pronounced dead on arrival. – Jun Elias
