Cop’s killer named, hunted

CAMP JUAN, Ilocos Norte — Police have identified the suspect in the gunslaying of Police Officer 3 Nestor A. Sadian, the chief investigator of the Paoay Municipal Police Station (MPS) last December 30 in Barangay Dolores, Paoay, this province.

          Senior Supt. Albert E. Ocon, Police Provincial Office director, identified the suspected triggerman as MelanioYagin, Jr., alias “Yahin Jr.,” of Barangay San Pedro, Paoay.

         The Special Investigation Task Group on the case is already out to hunt the suspect. Witnesses told probers it was Yagin who drove by on a motorcycle and fatally shot the 47-year-old chief investigator who was sitting on the roadside of Weaton Street in front of his house in Barangay Dolores, here. -- Freddie G.
