8 hurt as jeep falls off Benguet ravine

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet
-- Eight persons were injured when their jeepney plunged into a ravine here
last week .
The victims were on
their way to the wake of a relative when they figured in the accident in
Barangay Wangal morning of Feb. 13.
Police said
MartesTanacio, 39, was driving up the highway when the jeepney developed engine
trouble.
Tanacio lost control
of the wheel as the vehicle rolled backward and into the cliff.
Aside from
Tanacio, taken to hospitals in Benguet and Baguio City were his relatives Rudy
Relay, 79; Paul Akesio, 67; Lilia Opdas, 67; AgapitoPucay, 66; Imelda Evasco,
59; Linda Guway, 44, and MiliaEmukod, 38.
