4 Cordillerans top 10 in criminology board exams

BAGUIO CITY -- Four Cordillerans landed top 10 of the April 2016 criminology licensure examinations while two universities in the city are among the best performing criminology schools nationwide.
Jonathan Apolog Langbayan from the Mountain Province State College in Bontoc, Mountain Province landed Top 3 of more than 3, 000 passers of the Board examination. Langbayan had rating of the 87.90 percent.
In the Top 4 spot was Jarret Lawagan Passol from the University of the Cordilleras (UC).
Passol who is a native of Kalinga and Mountain Province had a rating of 87.85 percent
In Top 7 was Sedwin Agustin of   the University of Baguio (UB) while at  No. 9 is Daniel LacbawanDulnuan from the Ifugao State University in Lamut, Ifugao.
The results released on May 17 also revealed that UC is still the best performing Criminology school in the country.
UC had a passing rate of 98.13 percent with 105 new criminologists from the 107 examinees.
UC was a consistent   producer of topnotcher criminologists and hundreds of board passers for years now. 
There was a year that nine UC graduates were in the Top 10.
The University of Baguio is the third best performing Criminology school with 82.43 passing rate producing 61 new criminologists out of the 74 examinees.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 3,928 out of 16,435 or 23 percent passed the Criminologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Criminology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last April 2016.
The date and venue for the oath taking ceremony of the new successful criminologists will be announced later by the PRC.
The PRC informed that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line from May 23-25, 2016.
Board passers are advised to visit www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or PanunumpangPropesyonal, 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the roster of registered professionals.
