Girl, 11 rescued from Candon kidnapper

CANDON, Ilocos Sur -- A construction worker was arrested after an 11-year-old girl he kidnapped was rescued during a raid in his house here Tuesday.

Chief Insp. Greg Guerrero, Ilocos Sur police spokesman, identified the suspect as Wilson Galdones.

Guerrero said personnel of the Candon police and operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Group Luzon Field Unit swooped down on Galdones’ house in Barangay Calongbuyan at around 3 a.m.

        He said Galdones took the girl near his workplace in Barangay 162 in Caloocan City last month.
