Kalinga NPA reb nabbed; two surrender in Ifugao

A
NEW PEOPLE’S ARMY rebel was arrested in Kalinga Monday after two others
surrendered to police in Ifugao on June 18.
Edwin Balaoag, 52, with aliases of
Ka Lgaigtas and Ka Bagyan, was nabbed in SitioMabuyaoc, Barangay Dugpa, Piunukpuk,
Kalinga based on a warrant issued by the
Abra Regional Trial Court Branch 1.
Meanwhile, two alleged NPA members
surrendered to police at the road junction of Ifugao and Nueva Vizcaya June 19
around 10 a.m.
Police identified them as Esteban
Alansip Santos @ Manuel /Steve, 54, of Upper, Magsaysay, Bayombong,
Nueva Vizcaya, operating in Region 2 and Cordillera Region
and Jacinto Belingon “June” Dulnuan, 36, of Kiangan, Ifugao but now
residing in Barangay Butigue, Paracelis Mt. Province.
Both surrendered a garand rifle and M1
carbine rifle respectively after negotiations with Supt. Paulo Bayongasan,
regional police deputy intelligence division chief; Senior Insp. Jackson C. Damong, SPO4 Gilbert
Bocalan and Supt. Joseph Bangcawayan Cayat.
