MPSPC grad 3rd placer in crim board exam awarded

BONTOC, Mountain Province – A graduate
of the Mountain Province State Polytechnique College (MPSPC) who landed Top 3 in
the latest Board Licensure Examination for Criminologists (BLEC) was awarded
here July 11 for his exemplary feat.
Third
placer Jonathan A. Langbayan, accepted an incentive following flag ceremony
before the College Administration, faculty, staff and students at the College
Auditorium.
With
Resolution No. 012, s. 2012, “approving incentives for board topnotchers and their
academic departments,” P 50,000 was awarded to Langbayan, P20,000 to the
Criminology Department, and P10,000.00 to the department’s chairperson Dr. Joni
Pagandiyan.
These
incentives were formally given to them by College President, Dr. Rexton F.
Chakas.
Langbayan
with a rating of 87.90% ranked 3rd highest out of 3,928 examinees
who passed the BLEC held April 27 and administered nationwide by the
Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
MPSPC
had an institutional overall performance of 45.70% with first timers rate of
68.42% compared to the National Passing Rate (NPR) of 23.90 % from 16, 435
examinees.
With
the release of the BLEC results on May 17, Langbayan’s rank made the College
once again on the Top 10.
A
shared aim for excellence in education continues to be proven as more and more
MPSPC graduates are marking an edge in their chosen fields, MPSPC officials
said.
Topnotchers
in different board examinations/ licensure
will all be receiving incentives.
Apart from incentives, the MPSPC
educational spirit and culture inspire and move its graduates to go beyond
mediocrity and top in their board performance.
Dr.
Chakas in a message before the awarding ceremony said: “Our warmest congratulations, (Jonathan
Langbayan). You serve as an inspiration to other students. To the MPSPC Criminal Justice Department and other allied
faculty members, our warmest congratulations for doing a good job in teaching
our students well. This is what we get when the members of the faculty in the
academic departments cooperate and work in unity.”
Langbayan
in a speech after the awarding, he gave honor to the College saying: , “I am
not where I am today if not for the
College. May God Bless more MPSPC.”
