BONTOC, Mountain Province - - Here’s a good
news for applicants seeking work abroad who are in need of money
for their placement fees.
Qualified
applicants may loan certain amount with a very minimal annual interest of five
percent payable in 12 monthly installments starting a month after the overseas
worker’s arrival at the country of destination.
A
three percent service fee is also charged and is deducted immediately from the
loaned amount. The amount to be loaned by an applicant depends on the placement
fee set by the placement agency and the destination country.
To
ensure the effective implementation of this program, applicants are required to
have co-makers who must be permanent employees of the provincial government. A
memorandum of agreement shall be entered into by and between the provincial
government, the applicant and co-makers.
LaireLigligen
of the Office of the Provincial Governor bared that since the program started
in 2011, there are already 241 overseas workers in the province who were
assisted.
Most
of the beneficiaries landed jobs in Hongkong and in the Middle East. Some are
nurses, construction workers, care givers and skilled workers.
