3 females arrested inside inn for shabu 
BAGUIO CITY – Three females were arrested here Wednesday around 2:35 p.m. at  Silverstone Inn baside Malcolm Square here for illegal drugs. Arrested were Sweady Zeta “Trisha” Lerio, 29; Josephine “Sahly” Villas Pasion, 28 and Ellinor Villaflores “Kim” Concon,  23. Confiscated from the suspects wer shabu and drug paraphernalia.
The arrested suspects and confiscated drug items were brought to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office, Pro-Cordillera for drug tests.

 12 cornered in Tuba for shabu, marijuana 
TUBA,  Benguet -- Twelve persons, five of them minors were arrested here Wednesday for illegal drugs at Block 19, Lot 21, Marville Homes Subdivision, Upper Tadiangan.
Arrested were Froilan Espinoza Ringo, 25; Michael Provadora Novesteras, 22; Rendel Nayad Rillera, 18; Alex Apao Delos Santos, 32;  Nollie Taduan Quinto, 25; Denver Agbuya Buting, 25 and Mitchelle Batil Zambrana, 29. The minors -- three male and two female were not named in a police report.
Confiscated from Ringor were four sachets of shabu and P1,000 marked bust money. One sachet of shabu and one sachet of marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia were also confiscated. Arrested suspects were detained at Tuba police station except for the minors who were turned over to local Welfare office.

Couple nabbed for shabu; PMA sergeant charged for conspiracy
BAGUIO CITY --  A couple was arrested here Wednesday in a buy-bust operation at Navy Base here. They were named as Jaype De Malaca Guzman also known as John Paul De Guzman, 33, of San Jose, Nueva Ecija and his live-in partner Jam Marife Timbal aka Marife Timpal Penamente, 39, widow, of Infanta, Quezon province. Confiscated from them, were shabu and rrug paraphernalia.
A police report bared this saying a case of conspiracy was filed against their companion named as Roderick Antaso Del Mundo also known as Sgt. Eric Del Mundo, 41,  married, member of Armed Forces of the Philippines detailed here at Philippine Military Academy,

Man stabbed in wake over card game
KABUGAO, Apayao -- A stabbing incident transpired here in Sitio Malabanig, Barangay Lucab around 6 p.m,, Sept. 10. The victim was identified as Dogie Eggat Atta, 38, farmer while the suspect was named as Roxas Sipsip, married, 60, both residents of said place.
 Investigation disclosed that the victim and the suspect were playing cards (tong-its) at the wake of Guardiana Ventura at the barangay when a heated argument ensued between them that led to the incident. The victim sustained stab wound on his left lower rib and was brought to Cagayan Valley Medical Center in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. The suspect fled after the incident.

3 men nabbed in Baguio for drugs
BAGUIO CITY -- Police arrested two men here Sept. 12 in a buy-bust operation at Km. 3 Marcos Highway, Bakakeng Central. Nabbed were Jean Espino Ander, 36 of the barangay and  Leo Ateneo, 28, laborer, of Lias, Barlig, Mt. Province. Confiscated from Ander were two pieces plastic sachets containing shabu and one P500 bill. Shabu, marijuana leaves and a Samsung cellphone were also confiscated from Ateneo.
Also on same day, cops in coordination with Drug Enforcement Agency agents conducted a drug buy-bust operation in Bayan Park Village, Aurora Hill, Baguio City that led to the arrest of Albert Bondad Javillonar, 36. Confiscated from the suspect were three sachets containing suspected shabu, a cellphone, and P500 buy-bust money.

‘Drug pusher’ nabbed
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police nabbed an alleged drug pusher here last week at Barangay Buyagan for illegal drugs. The suspect was named as Rashid Amito “Alex” Lasim, of Par Drug Group.
 Confiscated from the suspect were shabu weighing 15 grams valued at P30, Samsung cellphone, P1,000 bill and 29 pieces boodle money.
            The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to  PDEA-CAR office for examination.
           
Man arrested for bouncing checks
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Cops arrested here last week  a certain Wendel Jay Sambot Jamon, 35 of Batac, Ilocos Norte, and a resident of Barangay Bayabas in this capital town for bouncing checks. 
Jamon was nabbed in his residence by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of Bouncing Checks Law after Delilah Gonzales Munoz, presiding judge of MTC, La Trinidad issued warrant for his arrest setting bail of P5,000.

Motorcyle driver dies in crash with water truck
BAGUIO CITY – A motorcycle driver died here Monday after his vehicle collided with a water delivery truck around 11 p.m. along the junction of Legarda Road and Cariño Road. The victim was named as Jonard Magbanua Gumanab, 28, SUD’S Laundry Service driver, and a resident of No. 57 Camdas Subdivision. His vehicle  collided with an Isuzu water tank truck with license plate no. RCU-399 driven by Al-Raymond Sibayan Penuliar, 30 of Purok 17, Dumpsite, Irisan.
The motorcycle and truck incurred damages while Gumanab was seriously injured and was brought to Baguio General Hospital for treatment. However, the victim succumbed to death at around 12:30 a.m. of Sept. 13.

Businessman nabbed for drugs 
BAGUIO CITY – A businessman was arrested here Sept. 11 at Central Fairview for illegal drugs. The suspect was named as Abdullah Lumano Mangorangka , 33, who  was arrested in a buy-bust operation by police and narcotics agents. Seized from the suspect were shabu weighing 42.92 grams and seceral P1,000 bills.
 The arrest was witnessed by Fairview Village barangay chairwoman Justina Andaya, Bombo Radyo reporter Mary Ann Wandas and Prosecutor Philip Kiat-ong. The seized pieces of evidence and the arrested suspect were brought to PDEA-CAR office for questioning. 

Indian national nabbed for estafa
BAGUIO CITY – An Indian national was nabbed here Sept. 11 p.m. at Chrome Street, Upper Quezon Hill, for estafa. Arrested was Sanjiv Kumar, 37, of Ferguson Road. This, after  judge Emmanuel Cacho Rasin of Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 3, ordered his arrest setting bail of P100,000 for his temporary liberty.

Laborer nabbed for rape
KAPANGAN, Benguet – Police nabbed Efren Caddugon Dulnuan aka Hapon , 31, laborer, native of Magalo, Poblacion, Hungduan, Ifugao here last week for tape. This, after Judge Ester Piscoso-Flor of RTC Branch 34, Banaue, Ifugao ordered his arrest with no bail recommended.

Paracelis pastor nabbed for rape 
ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao – A pastor was arrested here Sept. 11 at Maligaya, Kiling, by cops from Paracelis, Mountain Province and provincial police for rape. Arrested was Jonathan Laguinday Lozano, 30, of Bantay, Paracelis, after he was orderd nabbed by Judge Sergio T. Angnganay of RTC, Branch 36, Bontoc, Mountain Province with no bail recommended.
Lozano was brought to Paracelis main police station  where he was incarcerated. 

Farmer nabbed for rape
ARITAO, Mueva Vizcaya – A farmer was nabbed here for rape Sept. 11, in San Antonio North. Arrested was Satur Balaso Uslaba, 23, of Anit-it, Kayapa Nueva Vizcaya after Judge Rufus Malecdan of RTC Branch 9, La Trinidad, Benguet issued warrant for his arrest for two counts of rape The suspect was brought to Bokod, benguet where he was incarcerated at the police station.

 Body found in Baguio alley 
BAGUIO CITY – The body of a man was found here lifeless Sept. 11 at around 11:30 p.m. at the end of an alley between Rillera Building and City Light Building, Dagohoy Street,
Police described the unidentified victim as  about 5”6” in height, medium built, about 30 years of age with long hair and wearing black maong pants, camouflage t-shirt, dark gray sweat shirt, black jacket and a pair of white rubber shoes.
The body was discovered by police conducting patrol in the area.

Kalinga DPWH crew member shoots self
TINGLAYAN, Kalinga – A road maintenance worker allegedly shot himself when a gun tucked on his saist sudeenly wemt off.    
A police report said the incident happened Sept.  11 around 12, noon at Barangay Basao. A police report said cops in patrol vehicle, while on their way to Maswa, Basao, met a group of Basao people on board a dump truck bringing an injured person to rural health unit for medical attention.  The injured person was  identified as Alikmas Nganip Ayabo, 25, DPWH road maintenance crew and resident of Basao.
Investigation disclosed that the injured person was busy working at his farm at Songsong, Basao, with a short firearm of unknown caliber allegedly tucked on his left waist and when he is about to bow down, the trigger of said firearm was accidentally pressed causing a single gunshot to hit hitting the victim’s left upper thigh.
The injured person immediately seek help from other people who gve first aid to the former. The injured person was shot on his  left upper thigh with the bullet retained at the left knee cap.Ayabo was referred to Kalinga Provincial Hospital after initial medical attendance at RHU Tinglayan. Responding cops  asked the injured person’s relatives regarding the firearm used but the former could not produce it.

Abra bocap surrenders gun
BUCAY, Abra -- Barangay captain Luciano G. Quintos of here of Layugan, surrendered Sept 11 a Cal. 5.56 (paltik) pistol, without markings and serial number to Bucay police.  
 Said firearm is now under the custody of Bucay police for documentation prior to submission to Abra Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for ballistics test.

Fire burns Tuba bungalow
TUBA, Benguet – A house here owned by Fernando Agadan Calansi, 66, and his wife Apesa Seguindo was bured here Sept. 11 around 1 p.m. at Sitio Lablab, Camp 4. The  incident was reported through text message by barangay chairman Romeo Salinas of Camp 4. 
Investigation disclosed that the couple attended a mass leaving their daughter Lorena, 11, grade 5 pupil, inside their house.  Lorena cooked food. However, she forgot she was cooling starting fire until it totally burned their house. The personal belongings of the family such as assorted clothes amounting to P5,000  and important documents were gutted by the fire.  The house was a bungalow made of pine wood and GI sheets valued at P50,000 h

3 men nabbed in Kalinga for illegal guns, bullets
TABUK CITY – Thre men were arrested here with  illegal high powered firearms, ammunition and hand grenade early morning of Sept. 9 in Barangay Bulanao.
This, after cops implemented search warrants issued by Judge Reynaldo A. Alhambra of Branch 53, RTC, Manila on respective residence of the suspects for violation of Republic Act 10591 or Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
Arrested during the operation were Reynold Flores, barangay secretary of Bulanao, ;Santos Wacnang, 58, businessman and Midel Basilio Andiso, 37, caretaker of the house of Bulanao barangay captain Virgilio Gunnawa  who was not around during the search. A police report said Gunnawa,  was reportedly been involved in illegal activities and was subject of numerous complaints of concerned citizens.
 Seized during the operations were: three M-16 rifles; Cal. 30, Cal. 45;  Cal. 38 and Cal. 22 rifle, Cal. 22 guns,  270 assorted bullets, two rifle grenades, hand grenade and 10 assorted magazines for M16, Cal. 45 and Cal. 30.
The police report said suspects were all involved in gun for hire activities and illegal gambling in Kalinga.  
Following this, regional police director Chief Supt. Francis Sarona  in a directive  ordered “all police commanders to intensify the campaign against loose firearms in their respective areas of jurisdiction to ensure peace and order”, considering that the problem on loose firearms is not only true here in the region but proliferating all over the country.”

Pastor, gov’t employee nabbed for arson
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – A pastor and a government employee here were arrested Sept. 7 by a tracker police team from Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Arrested were Edgar Macarubbo Binayug, 51, employed at the Cagayan Provincial Capitol and Virgilio Palos Raymundo, 59, pastor. They were arrested in their respective residences here after Marivic Cacatian-Beltran of RTC, Branch 03, Second Judicial Region, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan ordered their arrestwith no bail recommended.
Arrested persons were brought to Tabuk City where they were jailed.

Flora farmer in drug list shot dead
FLORA, Apayao – A farmer in local police drug list, was shot to death here by still unidentified suspects Monday around 8 p.m. here at Barangay Malubibit Sur, The victim was identified as Elvis Mabini Mabini, 40, married.
Police investigation disclosed around 4:30 p.m. that day, Freddie, brother of the victim  with their uncle, Julio Mabini had a drinking session at the sari-sari store owned by Rubelyn Villoria.
After consuming one bottle of red horse, Freddie went home while Julio was still drinking. According to the father of the victim Victor, at around 6 p.m. that day had a drinking session with Rexon Mabini and Ernesto Tugade.
Later, Elvis proceeded to Julio’s house to watch television. However, while the victim was watching, he was bothered by his uncle Julio prompting the victim to confront his uncle and a heated argument arose between them. Later Julio left riding his tricycle and returned after an hour while the victim went home. 
Further investigation disclosed that at around 8 p.m., while Teresita Umuso and her family were watching television, they heard three gunfire but they ignored it.
At around 5:30 a.m. of Sept. 13, Victor awoke and tried to check on his son. He noticed his son was bloodied prompting him to seek help from his neighbor.
Police found four fired bullets for Cal. 45 and three other bullets. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his body.

Tabuk businessman shot dead
TABUK CITY – A businessman was shot dead here around 9:20 a.m. by still unidentified persons at Sitio Wanti, Purok-7, Bulanao. The victim was identified as Alfonso Tungkul Dulin, 65 who was shot to death by still two unidentified suspects on board a motorcycle Honda colored red with blue stripe on its side. Victim succumbed to gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.
Police said suspects wearing helmets fled towards Bulanao after the incident.

Man hunted in Pugo for frustrated murder
PUGO, La Union – A man was nabbed here Tuesday for frustrated murder  at Barangay Cares. A tracker team of Baguio police who effected the arrest named the  suspect as Glen Dalida of Calauag, Quezon province.
This after Mia Joy Oallares Cawed, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 4, Baguio City, issued warrant for her arrest recommending bail of P200,000.

Laborer arrested in Sablan for concubinage 
SABLAN, Benguet – Police nabbed here at Barangay Banangan, Sablan, a certain Rod Olayan Kidpalos also known as. Rodolfo Olayan Kidpalos, 48, laborer, and resident of Pines Park, Km 4, La Trinidad town.
The arrest was made after Marietta S. Brawner-Cualing, [residing Judge of 5th MCTC Tuba-Sablan issued warrant against him for concubinage setting bail of P12,000.


Farmer nabbed for rape, acts of lasciviousness
BUGUIAS, Benguet --    Police Tuesday arrested a farmer here at Barangay Abatan identified as Elmer Mateo Macario, 32, resident of Bulalacao, Guinaoang, Mankayan town.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest for acts of lasciviousness and rape issued by Sergio T. Anganay, Jr. acting presiding judge of RTC Branch 64, Abatan with no recommended bail bond.

Violation of poll rules lands man in jail
PARACELIS, Mountain Province -- Police arrested here Tuesday a certain Roland Laguiwoy Binuloc, 30, laborer, resident of Barangay Bacarri for violation of elelction rules. Anastacio D. Anghad, presiding judge of RTC, Branch 36 Santiago City, Isabela issued warrant for his arrest. Binuloc was incarcerated at the local jail here. 

Three Bontoc houses burned
BONTOC, Mountain Province – Three houses were  burned here last week at Barangay Alab Oriente, Bontoc even as local folks helped to put out the conflagration.
Investigation revealed the fire started at the house of Melecio Atiwag and reached the nearby house of Elpidio Kaya-as and another house of  Mary Kampilo. The fire was declared out by 7:30 p.m. Houses of . Atiwag and Kaya-as were totally burned with damages respectively tagged at P700,000 and P800, 000. The house of Kampilo was partially burned. No person reported injured during the incident.


Old woman dies after van bumps her
BAUKO, Mountain Province – An old woman died after she was bumped by a van here Tuesday around 1 p.m. along the Bontoc-Cervantes road here at Sitio Picao, Poblacion.
Investigation disclosed the vehicle came from Bila headed to Abatan, Bauko, and while at the place of incident, victim identified as Magdalena Calado Modawan, 61, farmer, resident of Barangay Banao, suddenly crossed the road. As a result, she was bumped by said van and was rushed immediately by the driver using his vehicle to Rural Health Office at Poblacion, Bauko for medical treatment but she was transferred to Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital, Abatan where she died later due to severe brain injury, said attending doctor Annie Claire B. Pekas. The driver voluntary surrendered including his vehicle and is now under custody of Bauko police.
