1 dead, 24 injured in Vizcaya road mishap

BAGABAG, Nueva Vizcaya – A 15-year-old girl died while 24 others were seriously hurt when their jeepney rolled over  along the highway here in Barangay Lantap on Monday. Police identified the fatality as Mylene Benigno, a resident of Asipulo, Ifugao.

Initial investigation showed the victims were on their way to a family reunion when the driver, Antonio Bunag, 46, lost control of the wheel when he avoided an overtaking vehicle.

The injured were brought to the Veterans Regional Hospital in Bayombong.  – Raymund Catindig
