DTI to contractors: Renew licenses or else

BANGUED, Abra-- Accredited contractors in this province were urged to renew their licensed to operate on scheduled dates to avoid penalties.
Trade and Industry provincial director Arell F. Bañez issued the directive to contractors to avoid penalties as a policy of the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board that regulates the operation of contractors in the country.
Marcos Rex Hall, DTI provincial information officer said application can be filed at the PCAB Office in Makati or at the DTI regional office in Baguio City.
The following is the schedule of filing of application for PCAB registration:  For those with the last digit of license number  is 0, the filing period is Feb. 1-14; 1 – Feb. 15-28; 2 – March 1-15; 3 – March 16-31; 4 – April 21-14; 5 – April 16-30; 6 – May 1-15; 7 – May 16-31; 8 and those with new licenses approved from January to March – June 1-15, and 9  and those with new licenses approved from April to June  is  from  June 16-31.
Contractors who fail to file their application for PCAB registration of shall be fined P5, 000.00.  An additional P5, 000.00 fine shall be imposed to contractors who file their application after June.

For more details regarding the filing of application for PCAB registration, contractors are advised to visit the DTI-Abra Provincial Office located at J & I Building, National Highway, Ubbog-Lipcan, Bangued.
