Governors lead awardees in 26th Cordillera PNP Day

TRINIDAD, Benguet -- The Police Regional Office Cordillera recognized its
partners in the promotion of public safety and peace and order during the
26th Philippine National Police Foundation Day celebration here March 6.
Regional police director Chief Supt. Elmo
Francis Sarona led awarding ceremonies here at Camp Dangwa regional police
headquarters.
Leading the awardees were provincial
governors Jocelyn Bernos of Abra, Elias Bulut of Apayao, Pedro Mayam-o of
Ifugao, Jocel Baac of Kalinga and Bonifacio Lacwasan of Mountain Province
whose respective provinces were recently declared drug-free
by the PNP, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Dangerous Drugs Board.
Other awardees include Danglas Mayor Denise
Florence Bragas, Department of Health – Cordillera Regional Director Dr.
Lakshmi Legaspi, Ifugao Provincial Social Welfare and Development officer
Jocelyn Niwane, Baguio City Social Welfare and Development Officer Betty
Fangasan and Junjune Abella of the Serenity in the Steps.
Members
of the media from print, radio and television both in the government and
private sector were also recognized for their contribution to information
dissemination and promotion of peace and order during in the region.
