P3.7-M MJ seized; three men nabbed in Bauko

BAUKO, Mountain Province -- At least 15 kilos of dried marijuana leaves were seized from three drug suspects here last week at checkpoint in Barangay Sinto along Halsema Highway.

John Cario Reynera, 19; Kerwin Ortega, 22, and Angelito Dilao, 19, residents of Sampaloc, Manila, were collared in a Rising Sun bus (AYU-865) from Bontoc bound to Baguio City for carrying the marijuana leaves valued at P3.7 million.

Senior Supt. Tellio Ngis-o, Mountain Province police director, said they conducted the operation after being tipped off  suspects would transport the marijuana leaves from Bontoc.
