TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – A man who allegedly killed his wife, died in an alleged shootout with a responding policeman.
Furniture shop owner Jaime Natividad, 47, reportedly shot it out with Police Officer 3 Francis Bayona, who claimed he saw Natividad holding a 9mm pistol while his wife, Leonila, 47, was bloodied when he entered their house at around 7:30 a.m.
The couple died while being treated at the Cabatuan Family Hospital.
Probers are eyeing a love triangle as the motive for the killing. Bayona was placed under investigation.
Local folks said they were shocked by the killing and pressed an investigation questioning why Bayona was there at the scene and circumstances of the killing.
