Apayao provincial government worker killed in road crash

PUDTOL, Apayao – A driver was killed while another was injured when his tricycle collided here Tuesday with a motorcycle around 10:45 p.m. along the national highway at Barangay Capannikian.

The Euro tricycle was driven by Federico Llameg Alonzo, 54, Apayao provincial government employee and resident of Sitio Pisong, Barangay Swan.

The Racal motorcycle without license plate was driven by Robert Candiya Oraye, 37, of Swan. 

Investigation disclosed the tricycle was traversing the road without lights headed to Poblacion, when it collided with the motorcycle coming from opposite direction.

 Both drivers were brought to Amma Jadsac District Hospital by  responding police where Alonzo was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Jennilyn D. Cauan while Oraye was referred to Far North General Hospital at Barangay Quirino, Luna town. Police said both drivers were under the influence of liquor.
