Truck hits motorcycle in Lagawe; two killed

LAGAWE, Ifugao – The driver and rider of a motorcycle were killed here Monday when a dump truck hit their vehicle around 3 p.m. along the National Highway at Sto. Angadal, Cudog.

The green B10 dump truck was driven by John Mark A. Liwayan, 18, while the black Honda motorcycle was driven by Ram Auza Aumentado, 37, driver of YESHA Glass Product located at Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.

 Investigation disclosed both vehicles came from Hingyon town, Both vehicles with the motorcycle ahead were descending the highway and while at the said date, time and place of incident, the drivers side front bumper of the speeding truck allegedly hit the rear side of the motorcycle and dragged it to the opposite lane. As a result, the driver of the motorcycle and and his back rider identified as Labagril Zosimo Dalagan were thrown off at the road.

Victims were brought by responding cops to Natuwolan Clinic where they were declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Lenuel T. Mondero. The truck driver was unharmed.  Liwayan was brought to town police station where a case was prepared against him.
