The
cold weather-associated northeast monsoon or amihan will continue to affect
Northern Luzon, while the warm and humid easterly winds will prevail over the
rest of the country.
The Philippine
Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the
amihan will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains over Batanes and
Babuyan islands, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains
will persist over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Cagayan,
Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, and
Mountain Province.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila
and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with
isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA
warned of possible landslides or flash floods over mountainous or low-lying
areas during severe thunderstorms.
A gale warning has been
issued over the northern and western section of Northern Luzon due to rough
seas.
PAGASA particularly
advised the fisherfolk not to set sail into the coastlines of Batanes, Calayan,
Babuyan, and the northern coast of Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur due to rough to
very rough seas that will be dangerous for small sea craft.
Meanwhile, PAGASA
advised sea vessels of moderate to occasionally rough seas over the coastlines
of the eastern section of the country due to moderate to at times strong winds
originating from east to northeast.
Only slight to moderate
seas will prevail over the rest of the country.
