DOT starts new brand tagline for Cordillera

BAGUIO
CITY --"Find yourself in the Cordilleras."
This is the new
Cordillera tourism brand tagline which the Dept. of Tourism launched last
week.
DOT-CAR
officer in charge Jovita Ganongan said the new regional tagline aims
to tell the tourism market Cordillera tourism destinations is wanting of
seekers, finders and those who want to do experiential tours including
immersion in communities to learn and appreciate the diverse culture and
heritage of the Cordillera.
The new tagline will now
take part in all the tourism collaterals and the different festivals and
tourism events and activities in the region.
Tourism Promotions Board
chief operating officer Marie Venus Tan said the “Its More Fun in the
Philippines” is still the country’s tourism tagline.
This
is anchored on three pillars - high spending, extended stay
and optimal experience.
She
said tourists today are now interest- driven and this is the new norm for
travel and tourism which the DOT is preparing and planning for the coming year.
“Travel and tourism is
no longer what we have done year on and year out. Travel and tourism is all
about storytelling already, people are travelling because they are motivated to
travel, interest will be a motivational factor for people around the world even
domestically to travel,” she explained.
Tan said that the DOT
thru the Tourism Promotions Board will be coming up with new campaign and
marketing and promotional directions which will be launched next year. --
