BONTOC,
Mountain Province -- To ease burden of teachers on voluminous paper works with
deadlines, the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College here conducted
training on computer-based software with the capacity of computing test item
analysis and data processing for instructors and researchers Nov. 26-27.
Said
activity focused in using computer software for easy and immediate result
particularly on test item analysis, data processing and analysis.
This simplified
statistic software aids teachers in solving descriptive statistics and
inferential statistics, table of specification and competency, correlation,
regression and modern approach of hypothesis testing, test formulator.
Also,
it has a feature of I bank, which serves as a bank for questions ready for
making test question that could be done in a minute with automatic formulation
of table of specifications.
Researchers would also
benefit on this software because statistical tools are easy to manipulate for
non-mathematicians since upon entering the needed data it automatically gives
interpretation and decision in just a second.
The trainers were the
twin brothers and inventor of the software engineers Alex B. Bermudo, professor
of Camariness Sur Polytechnic College and Ceasar B. Bermundo, professor of
Ateneo de Naga University. They are also authors of many statistics books.
Same
training was also held MPSPC-Tadian Campus on Nov. 28-29 attended by selected
faculty of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic College-Cervantes Campus.
