Gov’t troops find Tinoc NPA hideout

TINOC, Ifugao -- Troops of 54^th Infantry (Magilas) Battalion discovered another newly abandoned New People’s Army jungle hideout here that can accommodate around 20 persons here at Barangay Binablayan around 7 a.m. of Dec. 23.

An army press statement said government troopers found a  generator set, 60 canned goods, ten kilos of rice, toiletries and an NPA flag.

The statement said the discovery was made possible by information from NPA surrenderees.

The surrenderees are reportedly helping government troops identify contacts of the rebel group, activities and routes.

Lt. Col. Narciso B. Nabulneg Jr. 54^th IB commanding officer urged actve NPA rebels to surrender, lay down their arms and live a normal life.
