9 Cordi cops awarded for anti-drug operations

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Regional Police director Chief Supt. Rolando Z. Nana awarded nine police personnel here Monday for meritorious service.

Awarded with Medalya ng Kagalingan were Supt. Radino S. Belly, SPO2 Geofrey Langbayan and SPO1 Benafin Dayucong, Jr, for confiscating illegal drugs  worth P3,175,000 at Kayapa, Bakun and Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet last month.

Senior Insp. Edwin Sergio, SPO1 Melvin Llanes, and SPO1 Arsenio Vidal received the same award for arresting drug suspect Jomar Barbosa Purugganan and confiscating from him 21 pieces sachets containing shabu valued at P102,690,  P81,000 cash and Cal. 380 with one magazine containing nine bullets and drug paraphernalia on Feb. 1, 2019 at Sitio Pacpaco, Gaddani, Tayum, Abra.

 Meanwhile, the medalya ng Papuri was awarded to Insp. Nicasio Sacliwan, SPO3 Washington K Kitongan and SPO2 Prudencio C Tinong for the successful arrest of drug suspects Real Gold Boclongan Olsim, and Celso Bayongawan Capuyan, which resulted in confiscation of shabu worth P17,043.52, Cal. 9mm handgun, one magazine loaded with nine bullets and other drug paraphernalia at Purok Datu, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga last month.

Engineer David G Sanchez, owner of Holiday Inn, Baguio City, who was guest of honor and speaker cited PROCOR awardees, officials and rank and file for jobs well done and being good partners in upholding the welfare of society.
