In 1948, devotion to Our Mediatrix of All Grace spread like wildfire after rose petals bearing religious images fell from the sky in the Carmelite convent in Lipa City, witnessed by thousands.

Visionary Sr. Teresing Castillo, kept a diary, which was destroyed together with devotional materials, statues, and hundreds of precious miraculous rose petals, by order of the Vatican’s Confederation of the Doctrine of Faith (CDF) through the Papal Nuncio.

But why would the CDF destroy the very evidences they needed to investigate? There were just too many claims after World War II. The CDF dismissed many without proper investigation, including the Mediatrix apparitions. This was the work of the devil, establishing a presence deep in the highest echelons of the Church.

The devil was in panic because he knew that Our Lady Mediatrix was the key to the evangelization of Asia, especially China. Pope Paul VI said that the First Millennium (birth of Christ to 1000 AD) focused on the evangelization of the Old World, the Second Millennium (to 2000 AD) of the New World, and the Third Millennium (to 3000 AD) of Asia. Just like with St. Therese of the Flower and Padre Pio, the devil tortured Sr. Teresing, but the power of Our Lady prevailed.

The Mediatrix is the continuation of Fatima. First, they have common messages. Second, on December 13, 2017, the Miracle of the Sun of Fatima was duplicated on the exact hour and day one hundred years apart in Matalam, North Cotabato.

How did the devil suppress the Mediatrix? By threatening excommunication, then Papal Nuncio Archbishop Edigio Vagnozzi, upon orders from the CDF, coerced eight Filipino Bishops in the investigating committee to reverse their stand that the Mediatrix miracles were authentic. One of the eight Bishops recanted his statement at his death bed. The other Bishops followed. This nullified the first CDF investigation, which led to a second investigation, which was again manipulated.

 A survey conducted by Mediatrix devotees revealed that most prelates, about 95%, believed in the Mediatrix but were silent in fear of CDF threats. The Vatican suppressed not only the Mediatrix devotion but also the entire Filipino clergy into silence.

Three Lipa Bishops who endorsed the Mediatrix were ‘exiled’ into silence and oblivion – Alfredo Obviar, Alfredo Versoza, and Ramon Arguelles. Ironically, Bishop Obviar is being groomed for beatification. A Filipino priest close to Pope Francis said that he promised to look into the controversy.

This was when the Filipino laity took over. The Mediatrix devotion continues to spread rapidly today. That is why Filipinos are the ‘favorite’ of Our Lady and Our Lord. The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) declared that, even as the apparition is still under investigation, the devoltion is allowed. Pope John XXIII consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Pope Francis can do the same for China.

Fatima and the Mediatrix both predicted a deep crisis within the Church, which is happening today. As the Marian messages and the Bible have prophesied, the Church will survive the crisis after an era of unrest and confusion. -- Bernie V. Lopez eastwindreplyctr@gmail.com
